Portrait painting based on the photo of Ukraine refugee mother-child duo taken by Yara Nardi on their arrival in Poland. I created this painting to honor and recognize the sacrifice of the men who left behind to protect Ukraine, and the women and children, who had to flee from Ukraine after the invasion by Russian troops in February 2022.
